The Andrews Labor Government is putting families first by giving the Gellibrand community the great sport and recreation facilities it deserves.
The Gellibrand community can look forward to upgraded sport and recreation facilities thanks to funding from the Andrews Labor Government’s $100 million Community Sports Infrastructure Fund.
Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney today announced the Colac Otway Shire is set to receive a $100,000 grant to develop a new play and activity space at Gellibrand’s Rex Norman Park.
The project will include the installation of new play and active park infrastructure that will create a natural flow of play, whilst promoting and protecting the natural and heritage features of the park.
Grassroots sports clubs and recreation parks are the lifeblood of our towns. They are where communities get together, locals embrace healthy and active lifestyles and kids enjoy special memories that stay with them for life.
Victoria is the sporting state, and it doesn’t happen by chance. We’re upgrading grassroots facilities all over the state, because it changes people’s lives for the better.
