On another note, after many months of excitement the Birregurra Bowls Club has
officially opened its new synthetic green. On Sunday, 29 November, I had the
pleasure of joining club members and club executive members and seeing the mayor
of Colac Otway Shire, Brian Crook, make the first bowl on this excellent new
facility.
I would like to make a special mention of the Birregurra Bowls
Club greens subcommittee members, Barry Day, Alan Fyfe, Alan Yard and Brian
Neale, for the excellent work they put in. I also congratulate the Colac Otway
Shire and other community advocates for their fantastic work in ensuring that
members can enjoy bowling in Birregurra year round.
