Victorian emergency management volunteers are getting a well-deserved funding boost thanks to the Victorian Government’s $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants program.
Hundreds of grant applications for equipment, communications, facility upgrades and community engagement and training have already been received from volunteer organisations across the state.
Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney MP today congratulated the emergency volunteer organisations in the South West on their successful grant application.
Recipients of the grant included:
- Gorae West CFA – $6,216.00 for operational equipment
- Nelson CFA – $4,512.82 for training, development and facility improvement
- Woolsthorpe CFA – $5,061.54 for operational equipment
- Port Fairy Surf Lifesaving Club – $4,664.07 for facility improvement
- Heywood SES – $4,600.66 for facility improvement
- Warrnambool SES – $2,291.77 for operational equipment
This is a total contribution of $27,346.86 for emergency volunteers in the South West.
These grants will assist emergency volunteers in the crucial work they do in keeping the community safe.
