The Colac community has received funding from the Victorian Government to support veterans and honour their service.
Labor Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney today welcomed the announcement in the lead up to ANZAC Day.by the Minister for Veterans, the Hon Shaun Leane MP as part of the Labor Government’s Anzac Day Proceeds Fund.
Colac Legacy Club will receive $2500 to continue to provide the ex-service community a greater degree of independence by providing transportation to social activities including shopping, bowls, bingo and catchups.
This program benefits the mental, physical and social health of war widows and veterans through social and physical interaction among themselves and the local community.
