Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney has called on the Napthine Government to outline its future plans for Glenormiston College in light of South West TAFE ceasing classes at the campus next March.
Speaking in Parliament this week, Ms Tierney made reference to the significance of the campus in the region, and its importance to the agricultural industry.
“Glenormiston has a special place in the hearts of many people in the south-west.
“For the past 42 years the facility has been training highly skilled workers in the agricultural industry ensuring that the industry is strong and sustainable in the south west.
“The Minister must outline, as soon as possible, what the future of the facility will be.
Ms Tierney also raised the issue of ongoing vocational education and training in the south west’s dairy industry during Question Time on Wednesday.
