The next step in the rollout of the new Torquay North Primary School has been taken as the school naming process begins.
Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney MP today announced that the consultation process had begun as part of picking a new name for the Torquay North school.
Local families now have the opportunity provide formal feedback on the preferred name for their new local school. There are four suggested names for the new school: Torquay Sands Primary School; Dunes Primary School; Coast Primary School or Coastal Primary School.
The school’s inaugural principal Darren Roskosch will lead the consultation process, with the community able to provide feedback by contacting him on roskosch.darren.c@edumail.vic.gov.au within the next 30 days.
It is part of a $2.5 billion investment by the Labor Government in the past three Budgets to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
This school building boom has delivered more than 1,000 school upgrades and 56 new school projects across the state, supporting almost 5000 construction jobs for Victorians.
