Anglesea will play host to exciting new performances thanks to a $9,042 grant through the Andrews Labor Government’s Small Regional Presenters program.
Labor Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney today congratulated The Sound Doctor Presents Inc which has received support for a program of contemporary music at the Angelsea Memorial Hall over two weekends, March to May 2018, featuring:
- Ainslie Wills;
- Jen Cloher;
- Jessie Lloyd’s Mission Songs Project; and
- Mama Kin Spender
The program will also include opportunities for local acts, and a workshop for children run by Jessie Lloyd.
The Sound Doctor Presents Inc is one of 16 regional presenters to share in grants totaling almost $118,000 in this latest round of grants.
The Small Regional Presenters program was launched in 2016 to increase the quality and variety of cultural opportunities in small regional towns.
Grants of between $1,500 to $15,000 are available to support programs. The next round will close on 15 March 2018 for shows taking place from 1 June 2018 onwards.
