The Victorian Government is helping improve community transport in Corangamite Shire with a funding boost to undertake an audit of existing options.
Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney said a $70,000 investment from the State Government’s Flexible Local Transport Solutions Program, will help identify any gaps, or opportunities for improvement, in the existing community transport network in Corangamite Shire.
Corangamite Shire Council will undertake the audit which will examine the availability of current community transport options, including their frequency, accessibility, demand and capacity.
Client demographics, eligibility requirements, advertising and current booking processes will form part of the study.
The State Government’s Flexible Local Transport Solutions Program provides funding for local transport initiatives, services and infrastructure in regional Victoria.
