The Andrews Labor Government is giving Camperdown kids new space for outdoor adventures and healthy fun.
Member for Western Victoria Gayle Tierney today opened the Camperdown Apex Park playspace, which will give the local community a safe and secure spot for outdoor activity.
The Andrews Labor Government is committed to giving all Victorian communities the safe, modern sport and recreation facilities they deserve.
Parks and playgrounds are where children often get their first taste of physical
activity, and learn important socialisation skills.
The Apex Park playspace is a perfect chance for kids to get out and about, and an ideal place for families to make friends and better connect with the community.
The playspace comes complete with a volcano play mound, a pod swing, a double swing set and a see-saw, as well as a pommel ride, flying fox and exercise circuit.
The playspace aims to challenge children, testing their balance, coordination and strength.
It will give kids a chance to let their imagination run wild and develop new skills in caring for others and themselves.
The Labor Government has supported the project through a $430,000 funding package.
