Labor Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney said that South West commuters have suffered yet another month of V/Line headaches as the Napthine Government failed its own performance benchmarks.
“The latest V/Line statistics show that services to and from Warrnambool were hit with chronic delays yet again,” Ms Tierney said.
“Most lines across the V/Line train network failed the Napthine Government’s own benchmark for cancelled trains.
“The punctuality rate for trains between Melbourne and Warrnambool was 75.2 per cent for the month of March, well under the Government’s own target of 92 per cent.
“Our V/Line services are deteriorating, with on-going delays and cancellations.
“Denis Napthine promised to improve services but these figures show he is making things worse.
“Denis Napthine needs to stop ignoring regional Victorians and improve V/Line services, Ms Tierney said.
