My adjournment matter is for the Minister for Emergency Services in the other place. It is in relation to fire safety in my electorate of Western Victoria Region. Fire season is fast approaching, and it is important for all people across the state to be prepared. Fire brigades within my electorate and across the state do outstanding work protecting the lives and property of people. For example, the Warrnambool fire brigade attends an average of 600 incidents annually. While this is an incredible achievement in terms of protecting the people and property of Victoria, there is always a need for improvement in resources and systems. Therefore the action I seek from the minister is for him to outline his plan for the measures that will be taken to further increase the protection of my constituents, their property and their businesses from fire.
